Due to the skin in these areas being naturally darker than the surrounding skin, or may have even darkened with age, it can make people feel self-conscious about the “dirty” appearance, or that their hygiene is subpar. Intimate bleaching is a cosmetic procedure that involves the in-office and at-home use of medical-grade skin-lightening products to lighten the skin to match the surrounding tissue.
